Running Up That Hill

This was the first painting in the larger phosphorescent hills series.

Figuring things out as I went, the light stayed soft and spread out. Color moved across the surface without settling into anything fixed.

It felt, as always, like I was starting something without knowing where it would lead, and found inspiration in the memory of the hill I was born near. Remembering my first steps,  I started running before I could walk.
