Bluebird of Happiness at Night

This painting came together slowly, built from layers of pigment, sheets of mica, oxidsised metals, and fragments reclaimed from other works. As it formed, shapes began to surface—branches, blossoms, a bird mid-flight. I didn’t plan them. I followed what the surface was already holding.
